4 at a Time Flying Geese With Stripes

Usually I don't care much about which way stripes go in my quilts. I don't really notice after the quilt is made because I just use it for cuddles and warmth. But, I just made a Northwest Stars Quilt which used included lots of stripes. So I decided it was time to pay attention to their direction when making 4 at a time Flying Geese (No Waste Method).

Below I'll show you how I placed my fabrics to make sure each sawtooth star came out with stripes all going the same direction. Sign up for my newsletter at the bottom of the blog post and you can get a handy PDF which you can print off.

If you are looking for a tutorial about how to sew four a time flying geese (the No Waste Method) you can find that here. This tutorial is more about fabric placement.

Let's get started...

Let me know if you find this useful. You can find a copy of the Northwest Stars Quilt Pattern below, which is a great pattern to practice these directional sawtooth stars with.
