All About the Bundle of Joy

I love fabrics! But I mean most quilters do. I think that's probably why I got into quilting in the first place. I was working at a fabric shop and just loved looking at all the beautiful fabrics.

Well, I also spent the last 9 years living in India. And boy can I tell you that place raises the bar when when it comes to beautiful designs and artisan fabrics.

Each time I have come back from India I have brought back a curated bundle of fabric to share. Each bundle is like a love letter from my adopted country to my home country. I love sharing a little bit of the culture I have come to love so much with each of you.

This year I brought some bold fabrics with yellows, some pinks, blues and greens.

13 FQs from the Bundle of Joy

I named the bundle "Joy" because it reminds me of summer and happiness. It makes me want to head to the pool and swim or go outside and spend time with loved ones.

Each fabric is either hand block printed or screen printed and 100% cotton. They are great for quilting. I am currently making a Patchwork Jubilee Quilt with the Bundle of Joy. I'll share it with you when it's finished.

The Bundle of Joy includes 13 fat quarters with a mix of floral and modern prints.

Just looking at them makes me get excited to start sewing!

Bundle of Joy

I love how some of these fabrics have so much small detail added to the designs. And it boggles my mind that some are made by artisans who hand print each fabric! What an art!

Below you can see the first quilt block finished of my quilt. With a white background the fabrics pop!
