Modifying the G-Force for Juicy

Have you fallen in love with Juicy by Ruby Star Society? It's such a bright, cheerful line! I haven't gotten my hands on it yet but I hope to soon.

The G-Force Quilt Pattern was used in the lookbook as a sample pattern to show how to use the fabric. When I designed the mock up I modified it slightly from the original pattern. So I thought I'd let you all know how to get the "Juicy Look".

You can get your copy of the G-Force Quilt Pattern here.

The major difference between the mocked up version above and and the pattern is the fabrics used in the dashes on the sides of the hearts. In the original version the dashes are made up from all 8 fabrics used in the hearts. With this version I used only two fabrics and they are different from those used in the hearts.

I thought just using those two fabrics really made the hearts pop.

If you want to make the version above (throw size) here's how:

You will need 8 different fabrics for the hearts. From each of these 8 fabrics you only need (2) 6 1/2 in. x 12 1/2 in. pieces.

Then, for the side dashes you need 2/3 yard from 2 different fabrics.

In this version Moss Baby Flowers and Galaxy Hearts from the Juicy line were used.

The background fabric is not changed.

If you want to know why the pattern is named the G-Force read about that here. If you want to see some other versions I've made see those here and here. And don't forget to grab your own copy of the pattern at the link below!
