Hey there! Today I'm talking all about my modern quilt pattern, The Taj. You know, like the Taj Mahal. More about the name and inspiration later... But let me just say The Taj is a block based quilt pattern which uses fat quarters and comes in two variations. This modern design looks great in solid fabrics, like the quilt I'm featuring today, or patterned fabrics. With 5 size options The Taj packs a punch.
The Rebekah is a modern quilt pattern which uses precuts of fabric to make a fun, scrambled looking quilt. It's modern design is jelly roll, fat quarter and yardage friendly. The Rebekah is geared toward the beginner quilter or the experienced quilter who wants a low key, fast and fun quilt pattern.
Every time I write a pattern I make the first quilt as a kind of proof of concept. I don't use a pattern. I just scribble notes, measurements and pictures on a notepad. Then, I make one test block to make sure all my measurements are correct. This quilt was my first test quilt of Lodhi Garden.
